CAPACITY DEVELOPMENT MANAGER
Chandiwira Chisi is responsible for the Capacity Development component of the Fund. He is responsible for supporting civil society organizations to effectively implement programs within the governance sector and to sustainably play their critical role in achieving goals of democratization, participation and good governance.
Chandiwira Chisi has 15 years’ experience in development work. He has worked with reputable institutions like Church and Society Programme C.C.A.P Livingstonia Synod, Actionaid International (8 years) and Malawi Economic Justice Network.
From 2013, he embarked on a solo consultancy career that run for two years within which he did research work and capacity building exercises for Wateraid International, Malawi Health Equity Network and the Council for Non-Governmental Organisations among others.
Major achievements in the illustrious career include leading a team that developed the National Anti-Corruption Strategy for Malawi Government, setting up a community governance programme- Kalondolondo, pioneering national response to extractive industries governance within the country and setting up of an international network monitoring extractive industries in Africa (IANRA) and a number of successful policy influences within and outside Malawi.
He is holder of a Bachelor of Science degree with a major in Demographic Studies obtained from Chancellor College of the University of Malawi and has a string of post graduate short courses in various governance themes with reputable institutions like University of Pretoria and Kwazulu Natal just to mention a few.
Chandiwira Chisi brings to Tilitonse Fund a wealth of all-round experience in research, policy advocacy and capacity development.
