REQUEST FOR CURRICULUM VITAE AND PROFILES OF CONSULTANTS, RESOURCE PERSONS AND CAPACITY DEVELOPMENT PROVIDERS FORTHE TILITONSE DATABASE

Tilitonse is a grant making facility aimed at promoting governance in Malawi that is increasingly inclusive, accountable and responsive to its citizens. Tilitonse believes that increased levels of citizen voice, action, and interaction with government, private sector and others, can create increased responsiveness in duty bearers and power holders in and outside government and lead to greater social inclusion, increased accountability and the improved delivery of basic services. Tilitonse believes Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) can play a major role in supporting this approach.

A key component for Tilitonse to effectively deliver its mandate is the provision of capacity development support to its potential and existing grant partners. It is widely recognized that capacity of CSOs in Malawi is in most cases considered inadequate, to effectively implement programs within the governance sector and to sustainably play their critical role in achieving goals of democratization, participation and good governance.

Tilitonse has embraced mentorship as a core approach to its capacity development support. We believe that mentorship is an important capacity development approach as it offers the opportunities for accompanying organizations in their quest to improve both their internal operations, programme development and implementation.

It is for the above reasons that Tilitonse maintains a Database of Consultants and capacity development service providers to facilitate the provision of its capacity development support. The database is used as a basis for identifying individuals, firms and institutions with the relevant skills, knowledge and experience to provide capacity development support for Tilitonse. The areasĀ  required for capacity development support currently include the following: human resource management; corporate governance and leadership; gender and social inclusion; financial management; programme and project management; organizational development; monitoring and evaluation; results based management; grant management; proposal development and reviews; networking and advocacy; knowledge management and communication; policy influence and engagement; marketing and resource mobilization; and political economy analysis.

Interested individuals, firms and institutions who wish to be included in the Database should send their updated CVs and a brief profile (no more than 2 pages) detailing their contact details, experience, areas of expertise and an indication of their professional fees. These should be sent to the Operations Manager through submission@tilitonsemw.org, quoting ref: CONSULTANTS PROFILE in the email subject line no later than 20th February 2015

Those that already submitted their CVs and profiles to the previous call of December 2013, are requested to resubmit updated versions of their CVs to the above email address, quoting UPDATED CV. Please take note that Submission of CVs and profiles does not mean automatic selection or engagement by Tilitonse.
